May / June 2009 - FREE Coaching,
This summer Godstone Tennis Club are provideing free coaching to all New Members, Associate Members, Junior Members and People Interested in Playing Tennis.
Commencing on Wednesday 13th May between 7-8pm there will be a six week course for adult new and associate members.
Junior coaching (free to junior members/approx. £2 per session to non-members) will start on Friday 8th May - probaby 6-7pm, but check with Dave Gorman first.
Saturday morning Junior coaching may also be available - watch out for further details."
The coaching will be provided by David Gorman, LTA licesened, RPT and PTR qualified, with 14 years coaching experience.
David has competed in international tournaments in Europe and Far East, is 3 times surrey mens champion and Winner of Le Touquet junior and mens open.
David is Availible for individual and group coaching Monday-Sunday.

25th April & 10th May 2009 - OPEN Day,
Godstone Tennis Club invite you along on Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm to meet the members.
If you wear your training shoes you will be able to join in and Play a few games.
There will be refreshments available, and children are also welcome to come along.

March 2006 - St Patrick's Day Kalee, at the White Heart Barn Godstone. Thanks to Mike Conneely
who organised the joint Club fund raising evening and St Paddy's day Ceilidh celebration. Not unlike a square dance, the caller informed the dancers which steps to perform.
and a great evening of dancing to the fantastic Irish jig band was had by all. Rounded off with a delicious Irish Stew, the evnening was a resounding success!. |
2nd-5th February 2006 - Trip to Okehampton, Come and spend a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) in Devon with your fellow club members.
Walk over Dartmoor, play indoor tennis, squash or badminton, enjoy good food, have a game of Ten Pin Bowling, Snooker or even Golf.
Have a chat with Chris and he might be able to squeeze you in if it is not fully booked. |

on the first Friday in December in the Anna Greenwell Room Godstone Club at 8.30pm.

October 2005 - End of Season Dinner, on Friday evening at The Coach House, Godstone.
Starts at 7.30 and for £18 you get a 3 course meal and coffee. Choose your main course from a delicious selection of
Confit of Duck, Grilled Lamb's Liver and Bacon, Roasted Pork Fillet, Baked Trout, Fried Breast of Chicken or A Roast of the Day.

10th September 2005 - Club Finals Americam Tournament,
We had great weather this year for the 2005 Club Finals, and 20 club members competed in the afternoon American Tournament.
Unfortunately, at 5.30pm we had rain storm before all matches could be completed, so we had to calculate adverage points v games played.
So its congratulations to the Ray Q and Richard E with the top mens score, and Sue G the winning Lady.

16th April 2005 - Jane Wilkes Tournament,
We had a great start to the 2005 Summer season, with 22 members competing in the American Tournament.
The best 2 men with 24 points were Julian C and Ray Q, and the best 2 Ladies with 23 points were Jackie N and Sue G.
Together they played out the Final, with Julian and Jackie winning the Trophey.

December 2004 - Xmas Drinks, on Tuesday evening at the Godstone Club from 7.30pm, pop in for a drink
and buy a raffle ticket to help raise some extra money for the club. The star prize in the raffle is a meal for two
at The Coach House in Godstone, and tickets are available on the night, or beforehand from Chris Hayns. |

December 2004 - Dinner Dance, on Friday evening at the Woldingham (DukesDene) Golf Club.
Starts at 7.30 for drink, with dinner served at 8.00pm. Then dance the night away until Midnight.

November 2004 - Weald AGM, Congratulations to the the Godstone Ladies and Mixed A team's
who were presented with trophies for winning their Weald Divisions. After the presentations, the Weald Match
Secretary, Daphne asked that all Team Captains should inform her immediately when a match is cancelled,
and then notify her of the new fixture date as soon as it has been re-arranged.
The Annual Weald membership fees will remain unchanged for another year, and any surplus cash will be
donated to charity |

August 2004 - Juniors Win Again, Playing in the Dorking & Leatherhead Junior League
in their first season the U16's team have won against Downswood, Reigate 4-0, Cheam 3½-½ and Oxshot 2½-1½.

this evenings meeting heard that the Floodlight sub-committee are
obtaining the forms to progress an appeal against the Tandridge planning
office who have rejected our Application for Additional Flood Lighting. |
